Shahrukh Khan may have a quiet year with only one film getting a release and that, too, in the early part of the year. ‘My Name is Khan’ was a runaway hit and brought SRK all accolades and complements.
Shahrukh plays an autistic man in this film who is accused of being a terrorist because of his ‘Khan’ surname. In the end, he meets the US president in his bid to prove his innocence. The film, being a SRK-starrer, opened explosively on Indian as well as international shores.
Shahrukh’s portrayal of the autistic character has most of his fans going gaga about him. Recently, in an online poll, fans voted for the King Khan as the best actor of 2010. But he faces stiff competition from other actors this time.
Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Guzaarish’ may not have done well at box office but there is no denying his impeccable performance. Salman Khan was all style and flamboyance in ‘Dabangg’ and Ajay Devgn’s powerful role in ‘One Upon a Time in Mumbai’ is commendable as well. Besides, the versatile Ranbir Kapoor gave a sound performance in ‘Rajneeti’.
Though, all are winners in their own right, only one shall get the coveted trophy. Will SRK do it for the umpteenth time?
